Queen’s Last Tour – The Magic Tour

The Magic Tour ist wahrscheinlich eine der legendärsten Shows der Welt und außerdem Queens letzte Tour mit dem Sänger Freddie Mercury und ihrem Bassisten John Deacon. Die Show bestand aus insgesamt 26 Auftritten und in Stockholm wurde The Magic Tour zuerst aufgeführt. Die Tour startete am 7. Juni 1986 und hatte ihren letzten Auftritt am 9. August desselben Jahres. Die Bilder von dieser Tour wurden unsterblich. Vielleicht liegt es an der Tatsache, dass dies Queens absolut letzte Tour als komplette Band war. Der Bassist John Deacon zog sich daraufhin zurück und wie wir wissen, wurde Freddie Mercury zunehmend kranker.
The Magic Tour war unglaublich beliebt bei allen, die sie sahen und es wurden all die besten Songs wie Seven Seas of Rhye, Another One Bites the Dust, I want to break free und natürlich Bohemian Rhapsody gespielt. Trotz der Tatsache, dass Freddie Mercury vor fast 30 Jahren gestorben ist, lebt die Musik noch heute weiter. Die Musik der Band war anders als alles, was man zuvor gehört hatte. Und natürlich hatte Freddies einzigartige und starke Stimme (und Persönlichkeit) viel damit zu tun.

Queen was formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Although bassist John Deacon was the band’s most famous bassist, he wasn’t actually the first. And although Queen was only a band for 16 years, they managed to become one of the world's biggest live bands. In their active years, they sold between 170 and 300 million records, which makes the band one of the world's best-selling artists in history.
